In the world of fashion and photography, women are often portrayed in a certain way that can be limiting and objectifying. The media’s portrayal of “what is beautiful” left me feeling self-conscious about my body type for years and I struggled any time a camera came out. Becoming a boudoir photographer not only helped me with my own confidence, but it has allowed me to also help change the narrative by empowering women through portraiture.
A boudoir photoshoot should celebrate the beauty, strength, and individuality of women. It should be a photoshoot that is inclusive, diverse, and representative of all women, regardless of their size, shape, or skin color. I love to use my skills as a photographer to showcase women’s beauty and strength. By creating a safe and inclusive environment during the photoshoot, I’m able to capture the true essence of who they are and create stunning images that leave these women with a new found confidence.
