Portrait Photographer | Buckeye, Arizona

You would think that being a portrait photographer means we don’t have any issues getting their children to pose for pictures however that is definitely not the case. Photographing your own children is usually one of the harder things we do. When my kids were younger, I had so many ideas for photoshoots that I wanted to create with them. Want to know a secret??? They NEVER turned out how I wanted them to. By the end of the session, the kids were cranky, I was out of patience and frustrated that my vision could not come to life no matter how much bribery was offered.

I have learned over the years that it is better to outsource our family portraits and hire another portrait photographer to capture us to save some stress.Of course, the kids are always way more cooperative than if I was the one behind the camera. Funny how that works! Now it does get easier as they get older and enter the world of social media and Instagram. My daughter (pictured here) is now usually up for impromptu photoshoots whenever she needs new content for her Instagram.
